Description:

The Tijuca Peak is the highest point of the Tijuca National Park, with 1021 meters altitude over the sea level. It offers one of the most beautiful landscapes of RJ. The trail follows the contours of the hills and the slope is easygoing. It will take around 2 hours hiking of a moderate level .

We pick you up in the south of RJ and go to the Tijuca National Park  where the trail begins. In an open jeep we will pass by two wonderful waterfalls and many lookouts. In 1920, President Pessoa reformed the track to offer it to the 1st King Albert of Belgium, who was a well known lover of mountaineering.

Advices : Use confortable shoes, a cap , bring 1,5 liter of water, some fruits , repellent .
